Ayşe Canbolat's ceramics exhibition, "CHROMATIC DIALOGUES," will be available for art lovers on Mekan Blogspot from October 13–28, 2025.
Ayşe Canbolat's exhibition, "Chromatic Dialogues," brings together the artist's recent ceramic productions and invites the viewer to explore the interactions between color, texture, and form. Drawing on ordinary objects from everyday life, the exhibition reveals the transformative power of materials and the redefining potential of art.
Viols, which have held a central place in Canbolat's work since 2016, are transformed in this exhibition into entirely different forms, colors, and sensory associations in the artist's hands. These objects, considered recycled materials, acquire a new aesthetic language within the scope of "Chromatic Dialogues."
The artist's formal interventions on the viols point to a research process that pushes the boundaries of material and technique. The juxtaposition of fundamental visual elements such as form, movement, rhythm, texture, color, harmony, and repetition creates a dynamic and chromatic structure on ceramic surfaces. This structure transcends the everyday functionality of the material and establishes a new aesthetic connection with the viewer. Drawing on the transformation of the viols, Chromatic Dialogues offers a meeting space where the everyday evolves into the artistic, showcasing the multilayered relationships between color and form. Canbolat's creative practice evolves into a multifaceted artistic dialogue shaped by both the physical properties of the material and the emotional vibrations of the colors.
