Hosted by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and organized in collaboration with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Menteşe Municipality, the 1st International Muğla Ceramics Symposium was held at Narlı Kahve in Karabağlar Plateau under the theme “An Ancient Legacy from Ages Past to the Present: Ceramics.”
Bringing together ceramic artists from Türkiye and various countries, the symposium featured hands-on activities focusing on ceramic production and firing techniques, workshops, and artist gatherings, providing participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience.
Throughout the symposium, works produced by the participating artists were exhibited, while a special raku firing offered audiences the opportunity to directly observe the transformative processes of ceramics through material, making, and fire.
